These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the StudyBuddy app and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

1. Use of the Service

You may use StudyBuddy only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for your use of the Service and for any activity under your account.

• You agree not to misuse the Service, interfere with its normal operation, or attempt to access it using a method other than the interface and instructions that we provide.
• You agree not to use the Service to violate any applicable laws or regulations, including those relating to exam integrity or academic honesty.
• You agree not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks connected to the Service.

2. Accounts and Security

To use certain features, you must create an account or sign in using a supported authentication provider. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

• You must promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or other security breach that you become aware of.
• We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe that your account has been compromised or you have violated these Terms.

3. Content and Intellectual Property

StudyBuddy, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

• You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial study purposes.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service or included content, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code, except as permitted by law.

4. User Content

You may provide content to the Service, including audio recordings, study data, and feedback ("User Content"). By providing User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, reproduce, process, and display that content as reasonably necessary to operate and improve the Service.

You represent and warrant that you have the rights necessary to provide User Content and that your User Content does not violate any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

5. AI-Generated Output and Accuracy

StudyBuddy uses AI models to transcribe and grade your responses and to generate feedback. AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be considered professional advice.

• You are responsible for how you use and interpret AI-generated feedback.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated results.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers for authentication, hosting, databases, analytics, and AI processing. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, are using the Service in a way that could cause harm, or if we decide to discontinue the Service.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors or harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your use of or inability to use the Service; (b) any conduct or content of any third party; or (c) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StudyBuddy and its owners, partners, and service providers from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. We will indicate the date of the latest revision at the top of this page. If you continue to use the Service after revised Terms become effective, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your local jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law principles, unless a different governing law is required by the laws of your country of residence.
